Yorba Linda Lighthouse was born out of a desire to see people experience the life-changing power of the gospel and develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.

Founding Pastor Brian Long moved to California in 2001 to attend Fuller Theological Seminary, where he earned his master's degree and was ordained for ministry. While studying at Fuller, Brian met and married Julia, and together they began a lifelong calling to serve God and His people.

After serving faithfully in denominational ministry for 17 years, Brian and Julia sensed God leading them in a new direction. They felt called to plant a church centered on the timeless truth of Scripture, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

In March 2024, God placed the vision for Yorba Linda Lighthouse on Brian's heart. Through prayer, wise counsel, and God's faithful guidance, that calling became increasingly clear. By May, Brian and Julia stepped out in faith, trusting God to provide as they began planting a new church dedicated to helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and share His love with others.

In July 2024, a small group gathered for the first time in a home. What began as a simple step of faith has continued to grow into a vibrant church family. Today, we've moved into our current location and continue to see God bring together people from every stage of life who desire to worship Him, serve others, and make a lasting impact for His Kingdom.

Our vision is inspired by the example of the early church—a community transformed by the Holy Spirit, devoted to God's Word, committed to loving one another, and passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus. We believe God is still changing lives today, one person, one family, and one community at a time.
